Membership

Membership is open to any individual interested in the object of the Association, subject to payment of the annual subscription. For 2005-06 this is £20.00 for ordinary members and £10.00 for students, part-time teachers teaching under 10 hours per week and the unemployed. These fees are subject to change. Membership entitles the member to attend meetings free of charge, to receive the Association's Newsletter, and to attend any joint conferences at a reduced rate.

There is also a Newsletter Only subscription at £10.00, and Associate Membership for institutions at £30.00.

Teaching institutions can apply for institutional membership (Word file) and receive discounts of 10% for 5-9 members or 20% for 10 or more members. Membership of SATEFL is a good way to promote the professional development of staff and, in addition, institutions can apply to link their website to the SATEFL website. Institutional members can also access CVs and post vacancies via the Jobshop.
